Creating a website like this is actually not too difficult. I just looked it up online and found this basic templates website, HTML5 UP and followed a youtube tutorial on how to get it set up. From there, some messing around and figuring out how HTML works can get you pretty far.

I would encourage any college student, especially engineering students to make a portfolio website like this. It gives you a real chance to expand upon what is on your resume and let recruiters and hiring managers know what you’re really about.
